1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Steffen Wagner, Eugenie-Abresch-Str. 4, 67433 Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Germany, email: mail@steffenwagner.com. No data protection officer has been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so.

2. Overview

This website is a static business card. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, embeds no third-party content (such as fonts, maps or videos) and has no contact form. Personal data is processed only in the cases described below.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is operated by CuByte IT Solutions & Consulting, Eugenie-Abresch-Str. 4, 67433 Neustadt an der Weinstraße, on servers located in Germany. When you visit the website, the web server automatically processes the data your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system and the previously visited page (referrer).

This data is used solely for technical operation, security and error analysis and is not combined with other data. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely and reliably. Log files are kept only as long as necessary for these purposes and are then deleted.

4. Local storage of the display setting

If you choose a colour scheme using the "Light / dark" button, your browser stores this setting in the local storage of your device. This is a single value without any personal reference and is not transmitted to us or to third parties. Storing it is necessary for the function you explicitly requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) and does not require consent. You can delete the value at any time via your browser settings.

5. Contact by email

If you write to me by email, your details (email address, name, content of the message) are stored to handle the enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). The data is deleted once the enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Links to external websites

The website contains links to LinkedIn, GitHub and cubyte.net. Merely visiting this website does not transfer any data to these providers. Only when you click a link do the privacy terms of the respective provider apply.

7. Encryption

The website is delivered exclusively over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Data you send to the website therefore cannot be read by third parties in transit.

8. Your rights

You have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller: access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). An email to the address above is sufficient to exercise these rights.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for the controller is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz), Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany, www.datenschutz.rlp.de. You may also contact the supervisory authority of your place of residence.

9. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place. Personal data is not transferred to countries outside the EU or the EEA.
